In Maharashtra, in the last five election cycles, two anomalies have been witnessed. In the 2019 assembly elections, the electorate increased was only 1.31 per cent. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the increase was 3.59 per cent. In both cases, the Congress alliance won.
CSDS falsely claimed irregularities in the rise and fall of electors across a few Maharashtra constituencies between the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha 2024 elections. In reality, the increase was consistent with the elector growth trend over the years.
