Nice paper. With the brief of DL techniques, it highlights the importance of cross-validation in evaluating small datasets. Most RS papers use accuracy for validation, which I believe it is quite vague. Precision and recall, or F1-score are recommended. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

If anyone is interested in time-series and phenology analysis, this is a great guide in R: otexts.com/fpp2/ We used it for this paper (mdpi.com/2072-4292/14/4…) to understnad the impact of land surface temperature on NDVI time-series.

This paper uses @_DASOS_ and showed that classifications results were better when metrics from DASOS were extracted than LidR, especially when combined with the spectra data. Read the paper for more info on what metrics were used 👇👇
