@jacasiegel Do a buddy swap! Find someone to read your evals for you and take out all of the non constructive personal attacks for you. This way you're just left with constructive. The literature is pretty conclusive that women and POCs get dinged hard in evals and the comments can be awful

If no constructive, formative feedback is given during the semester, and assessment is only accomplished through high-stakes exams and electronic homework -why do we expect constructive feedback on student evaluations of teaching?

@MollyBAtkinson I gave up. There’s no way to do 80 hours of work in a 40-hour week, and the system relies on us to exploit ourselves. And our students see that, and internalize it. I refuse to do that. I work my week, and live my life, and it’s either enough or it’s not.
