My colleague at Yonhap News, reporting in Korean, said ESPN has asked KBO's international rights holder, Eclat, for free feed of KBO games. That's a no go from Eclat's standpoint, and talks on broadcasting KBO games in the U.S. haven't gone anywhere.

[MBC] | ESPN’s offer to the #KBO was acquiring broadcasting rights for free and then paying a certain amount in the future if a profit was made. KBO now closely negotiating with other sports broadcasting companies outside of the US.

Spoke to a couple of sources re: #KBO on #ESPN. They said ESPN, in addition to asking for free rights, wanted to do monthly deals. ESPN's plan was to go month by month and then drop KBO altogether when/if MLB resumed. There was feeling of being disrespected at KBO, I'm told

Breaking: The NCAA Division I Council voted to allow schools to provide spring-sport student-athletes an additional season of competition and an extension of their period of eligibility.
