The original name of my native district in Paktia was Sita Ram, according to renown Afghan historian, Abdul Shakur Rashad. It was later named Sayed Karam as part of Arabanization of Afghanistan, following the Arab invasion. Sita is a Hindu goddess and Ram is a Hindu super deity.
