Ruth Perry’s tragic death shines a focused beam on the desperate need to reform inspection of schools. It’s ludicrous to suggest one word judgements on a school are helpful to parents. Time to start anew and ensure inspection is focused on helping schools and pupils to excel.

A backlog of over 60k cases in the Crown Court, yet the system is literally unable to open 1/4 of the court estate - lack of advocates & judges. Even if we operated at full capacity, questions must be asked of our resilience to sustain the current environment. Burn out.

Why does British Gas - who’s profits are up by 700% - go to the courts for warrants to break into the homes of the poorest (in the middle of a cost-of-living crisis) & then force-fit prepayment meters, which leave their customers cold & unable to cook? What drives that behaviour?

Wholesale Gas has crashed to a new low. Just 149p per therm compared to 702p in August. Ofgem say they’ll cut bills in April. What use is that to people who deserve a cut in bills now? Cut bills now.
