And just to conclude my rant: this “symbolic figurehead” argument is used to conveniently absolve a monarchy that still exists and is being actively maintained, of all its sins and culpability, while continuing to afford it all the material benefits of that history.

This result is humbling. 🙏 But it isn’t surprising. We were massively outspent, but when you talk to voters in our community they care about climate action, housing affordability, and reproductive freedom. They saw through all the ads and robocalls.
