My general guidance for AWS has been to trust AWS is securing their side of the shared responsibility model (ex. don't spend much time worrying about the possibility of guest-to-host-escapes, CPU side channels, etc from other customers). That is not my belief for Azure. 🧵

Just uploaded a video on creating a Malleable C2 Agent, the video is C++ with a little Python and pretty simple. Essentially, we just allocate a lot of space for an obfuscated string and then parse it via JSON at the start. youtu.be/FiT7-zxQGbo

Attack Simulation -- You need to know how attacks manifest in files/logs/systems. Setup something like @DetectionLab and recreate attack scenarios, treating it like a science experiement. Also, get comfortable using malware sandboxes.
