Being awake for 24 hours is the equivalent of having a blood alcohol content of 0.10%. This is higher than the legal limit for driving. If doctors aren’t fit to use their driver's license after 24 hours awake, should they be asked to use their medical license?

One of my med school profs gave me advice that I use every single day: If you live life 100% committed, there won't be room for emergencies. Instead, live at 70%, so that you have room to breathe, play, and grieve. Such an important reminder in medicine and beyond.
