Senior officials Interacted with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) officials regarding Distribution Automation System (DAS) and Multi Divided Multi Connected System(MDMC) to improve power quality and reliability at industrial pockets

During a three days Installation checking drive carried out by UGVCL at different areas of Mehsana Circle, a total 122 cases of electricity theft were detected amounting Rs. 17.04 lakhs. UGVCL will continue to conduct more such checking drives for curbing the power theft.

To provide reliable and quality power supply to Villages of Bayad and Sathamba Sub-division, UGVCL has bifurcated 11 KV Demai JGY feeder emanating from 66 KV Demai S/S by creating new 11 KV Borol JGY feeder emanating from 66 KV Thavar S/S benefitting more than 6000 people.

Govt of Gujarat has allocated Rs.8738 Cr in the Budget for Energy and Petrochemical Department for strengthening the electricity infrastructure. Rs.100 Cr have been earmarked for conversion of overhead network into underground which will significantly improve power reliability.
