I worked on classification of #Pulsars and Non-Pulsars using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) on #HTRU1 survey dataset. It's an imbalanced class problem in which pulsar datapoints are only 2% of the total. I pushed accuracy per-class of pulsars from 75% to 91%!

@radastrat @PyTorch I worked on HTRU1 dataset classification using Keras and by setting class weights to handle imbalanced classes, I found significant improvement in the Pulsar class accuracy of over 90%. Here's the notebook: github.com/mirapy-org/tut… Looking forward to your feedback! 😄
