Some ignorant people think Afghans chose to be ruled by the Taliban’s Sharia law. No. After decades of violence, suicide bombings and 100,000+ deaths, the Taliban were handed power through the Doha deal. The Taliban were imposed, not elected—regular Afghans had no say in it.

Afghan women can’t work, study, or even pray together- but Taliban men can sit in private settings with foreign women, laughing and joking? Afghan voices are silenced, but this is acceptable? This is not culture. This is hypocrisy at its peak.
When we talk about Pashtun chameleonism & opportunism, Diva Patang is a leading example of what we mean. Someone who enjoyed clubs & showed her hair during the Afghanist Republic times is now performing Hajj & wears hijab since her Awghan terrorist brothers are at power now.
The Afghan Taliban have decided to ban women from being visible in the windows of their homes. The Taliban authorities deemed it problematic that so many women could be seen by outsiders when they were cooking in their homes.
Today, the Taliban re-issued a chilling decree banning women from working for national or international NGOs in Afghanistan. This is a death sentence for million women whose survival depends on aid. 3+ years since Kabul fell, and the world watches in silence. For shame.
