Today, Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau and Minister @HonAhmedHussen launched the $4 billion dollar federal Housing Accelerator Fund. This fund will build 100,000 new homes across Canada, and I talked with Mayor @AmarjeetSohiYEG about how this help housing projects in #Edmonton.

This revolutionary project will create a 40,000 square ft state-of-the-art research, commercialization and manufacturing hub in #YEG. The facility will be a first-of-its kind in western Canada and will be capable of producing 70M doses of new and critical medicines annually.

With federal funding of $80.5M, the Canadian Critical Drug Initiative (CCDI) will instigate a crucial capacity boost to Canada’s health care system for critical drugs and the commercialization of new drugs from the early discovery phase through to manufacturing. #CCDI #ecdev #yeg

This morning, alongside my friends @R_Boissonnault and @AmarjeetSohiYEG, I announced an $80M investment at @UAlberta for the Canadian Critical Drug Initiative - @PrairiesCanEN’s single largest investment in Alberta to date!
