⚠️Here's the latest on the severe weather timing for this afternoon and evening. Isolated to scattered strong to severe storms will develop ahead of a cold front and dryline. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary hazards. The tornado threat will be low, but not zero.

We are still watching the potential for isolated thunderstorm development along and east of the I-35 corridor Wednesday PM. There is still uncertainty with coverage due to a cap that will be in place. Should any storm develop it will have the potential to be strong or severe.

Our office has determined the storm damage that occurred in portions of North Texas early this morning is consistent with straight-line winds with speeds estimated to be between 80-90 mph. Additionally, hail up to golf balls occurred in some storms in southern Tarrant County.
