Some reviewers approach a manuscript only focused on what they think is wrong. Other reviewers approach a manuscript genuinely wanting to help the authors make it better. Kindness and rigor do not have to be mutually exclusive.

I love reading old scientific papers ~1900-1980s. I love their tone: humble, just the facts, all cautionary details, and sources of errors/uncertainties in interpreting the data are discussed. No self-aggrandizing and exaggerations. Can we try it again, please?

Sometimes, reading the research literature can make you fell less knowledgeable, because you realize how much you don’t know yet. In these moments, remind yourself “even if I don’t understand everything, if I read this article, by the end I will know more than when I started.”

To “the vaccine have side effects” crowd If you scrutinized the side effects of drugs we ROUTINELY use (and you GLADLY take) in the hospitals you’d probably pass out:) Nothing is 100% safe; we go with the smaller risk/greater benefit Vaccines are a 1000 times safer than COVID

Sad news. RIP sir. My Questions: - Age? Comorbidities? Other causes of death? - Did genomic sequencing confirm a variant strain? Catching COVID after vaccine isn’t surprising; ATTRIBUTING a death to COVID variant without above details is irresponsible. Let’s stop that.

I m being asked to pay $59 to read a paper published in 1996. Cant these publication houses remove the paywall of papers that are more than 5 or 10 years ? How much are they desperate in making money ?
