You do not absolutely need a “System” to manage your publishing, but you do need to be systematic. If you are not, then employ those who are, and support what they do. Do not be Mr “It's-all-in-my-head”!
'As publishing and editing studies become increasingly popular at Anglophone universities, more work like this would add to our understanding of editorial labour.' –@alicektg Great article published in @ConversationEDU! theconversation.com/editors-have-l…
A reminder to all #OER advocates:
@CAULalert’s OER Advocacy Toolkit is an available resource to support your advocacy for the creation and use of open educational resources at your institution.

When creating #OER, you don’t have to start from scratch! CC licenses allow you to adopt and adapt content to suit your needs. Pressbooks makes it easy by enabling you to duplicate openly licensed books.

One of the biggest hurdles in the publishing process is the handover from editorial to production. Make life easier for both departments by maintaining one version of the truth. If you don’t have a dedicated in-house workflow system, at least use the same spreadsheet!
31 library publishing programs responding to a survey had an average age of 12, according to Emma Uhl @pkp. The vast majority of library publishing programs are funded by library operating budgets & the average personnel is less than one FTE (0.8)! #crkn22rcdr
Having folks review your OER helps ensure your content is accurate, inclusive, & accessible. It’s a great way to bolster potential adopters’ confidence in the quality of your OER.
