College coaches: STOP GHOSTING PLAYERS!!! It doesn’t make sense reaching out to a player, earning their trust and gaining interest, only to stop returning messages. I’ve coached 20+ years. Players/parents respect honesty. It only takes a few seconds to explain your situation.
Players...if you hang around dogs, you're going to get fleas. Pick your friends wisely. Intelligent, smart, mature and motivated isn't always popular in HS or College! The goal is to be successful, not popular with sheep.
BASEBALL is the hardest SKILLED sport there is 🙌 A really athletic HS student is probably going to be relatively good at Football & Basketball.. ..BUT you can't just walk onto a baseball diamond, pick up a bat, ball, & glove & expect to have that same level of success! 💯
All athletes make mistakes, but what separates great athletes from average athletes is the ability to learn from mistakes and stay resilient.
Almost nothing in sports feels worse than being a part of a talented team that underachieves because of leadership/chemistry issues. Don’t let this happen to your team. Be a great teammate and leader!
