The nurses strike isn’t just about pay, of course we should pay nurses fairly It’s about being valued for the work they do, it’s about safe levels of staffing, it’s about improving working conditions, it’s to prevent more nurses leaving It’s about patient safety

An overcrowded Emergency Department is a overcrowded hospital that chooses to put all the risk on a team who is already sinking. How many good ED nurses / Doctors and allied professionals are we to loose before it changes and risk is shared.

Our Band 2 Colleagues currently earn £9.49 an hour. In April the Minimum Wage goes up to £9.50 and we know our next pay award (due in Apr) will be delayed AGAIN. So in April our hardworking band 2 NHS workers will be earning below min wage! RT if you agree this is a DISGRACE

I think we should make mothers feel more comfortable opening up about how difficult parenting is because they’re demonised for portraying it as anything other than sunshine and roses, and then they’re shamed when they realise they simply cannot cope
