Very sad to hear that UMass is rescinding all PhD admissions for Fall 2025. This means there will be no new PhD cohort, and UMass will not have a graduating class that year. This is just unprecedented and I am so very sorry for all the affected students.

🚨Apparently all NIH Study Sections have been suspended indefinitely. For those who don’t know, this means there won’t be any review of grants submitted to NIH Depending on how long this goes on for, this could lead to an interruption in billions in research funding.

Doctors don’t make money from writing more prescriptions. Doctors do want you to be healthy. If everyone improved their diet and exercise and other lifestyle, doctors will still be inundated by patients with disease not related to lifestyle.
