When Imām Ahmad was put in prison, a jailer came and asked him whether the hadīth about tyrants and those who serve them was authentic [i.e. them being turned away from the Fountain in Jannah]. Ahmad confirmed it was. “Am I one of those who serve them?” asked the jailer. (1/2)
