Oh the bliss of been given an animation masterclass by Hayao Miyazaki. 🥲😭 I highly recommend watching the making of documentary for both Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away. I guarantee you'll learn a ton, not just about animation but filmmaking as well.

Animation is a caricature of life, not a lesser imitation of it. Remaking cartoons in live-action, or giving the characters realistic proportions, hairs, warts, etc., robs them of the stylized exaggeration that made them appealing in the first place.
