I am impressed with the Modi Government decision to swap currency to the extent of $ 400 millions with Sri Lanka. I had brought to the notice of PM that SL has legacy issue of financial debt and needs India to help out. Whole of SL now says to PM: Dhanyavad! This the way to go.

Why are tweeples pouncing on Arvind Subramanian for saying India’s GDP growth is mediocre and data are bogus? In 2013 he wrote that Modi is mediocre and Gujarat model is bogus. In 2014 Govt made him economic adviser. So he thinks you might reward him again.

PM forming crisis management committee for fixing economic decline and unemployment rising vindicates all that I said in my earlier Op Ed’s in The Hindu. I hope the committee accepts my suggested cures too or it will be collapse.

I am happy that I was right that economy is not an overpowering factor if Hindutva and anti corruption are the campaign issues. So we escaped incompetent macro economic performance. But if economy collapses then it will become an issue
