The Chancellor has announced that the Government will commission an independent review into the #LoanCharge. This is very positive news & something the APPG has been consistently calling for. The review must be genuinely independent & must look at the whole #LoanChargeScandal.

This announcement is a vindication of everyone who has campaigned for a new truly independent review into the #loancharge. It is one of biggest scandals of our time. @yorkshirepost

After years of campaigning I am pleased that the Labour Government have committed to an independent review of the Loan Charge. Ministers have listened to the concerns that many of us have raised about the treatment of those impacted by the Loan Charge.
