It’s incredibly foolish for a government to force companies to hold customer encryption keys or build backdoors. One nation state cyberattack can then compromise ALL customers. And compromising a US company’s foreign employee’s iCloud backup could then compromise the US company.

Please stop creating microbenchmarks without analysis. If you haven't read the assembly for each run, you have no idea what you're actually benchmarking. This creates a lot of work for people like me who have to clean up the wave of misunderstandings. It is very frustrating.

This is a wake up reminder that you shouldn’t have an internet connected privileged binary running on your production systems. What was a bad update could have easily been a massive adversary backdoor. A third party vendor will always be the weakest link. Isolate critical systems

How to fix the Crowdstrike thing: 1. Boot Windows into safe mode 2. Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike 3. Delete C-00000291*.sys 4. Repeat for every host in your enterprise network including remote workers 5. If you're using BitLocker jump off a bridge
