@Omnikitsune1 @EvilViergacht exactly! the biggest problem of all IMO is orphaned works and out-of-print books, and #ControlledDigitalLending is not the best solution to that problem, but at least it IS a solution... and the publishers want to kill it completely, which is very bad news for writers and readers
loss of access to African & African Diaspora books (I had almost finished African Diaspora bibliography when judge ruled) is REALLY bad: we CANNOT rely on public domain books; they are mired in racist, colonial prejudice. we NEED #ControlledDigitalLending for African voices! 2/2
