The overwhelming feeling that performers may feel of constantly working to “prove it” & perform for a period of time may be our body’s way of telling us we aren’t present. Just for this moment/day, do what is required. Then when the next moment comes, do it again.

Culture fit is overrated. The best teams are capable of integrating anyone (assuming they aren't actively harmful) whose performance makes everyone better. It doesn't help to find people with great personalities. The best teams are a composite of high abillities.

At times our physical routines can be taken away due to time or environment. It’s much harder to takeaway our mental routines because all we need is our mind, and we always have it.

Developing & regularly practicing a routine can train our brains to associate these actions with a state of focused concentration & readiness. Over time, the routine can become a trigger for entering a flow state, where we are fully immersed in our performance.
