What a night. Precedents set under previous government were excessive. @slrabuka's conciliatory offer and amended motion was a new beginning when courts refuse to intervene. LOP would have received most lenient sanction for relatively most serious breach. But they blew it. Sad.

Many thanks to my friend @GrahamLeung1 for this piece on common name. I always was and remain a proud Indo-Fijian - the name that represents my ethnic Indian and girmitiya heritage and equally represents my Fijian birth and nationalty.

Fiji has lost one of it's finest sons. Descendent of a girmitiya from Tabia Labasa he perhaps rose to unparalleled academic eminence from amongst local academics. I met him last at his Suva Point home upon his return from the Nabua barracks apparently under orders to leave.

Don't we agree? Add the 8 hour day, maternity leave, equal pay, annual leave; sick leave, overtime pay, minimum wage, OHS laws, etc. Our unions locally led the way an pushed for legislation.
