WINNER: Emergency Medicine. The big story of Match Week 2023 was the 500+ EM positions available in the SOAP, caused by a rapid drop in EM applicants. But this year, EM applicants are up 33% (driven mainly by increases in DO and IMG applicants).

Yes, everyone should learn #CPRandAED. But if we are going to ask people to perform such a brutal task, it’s imperative that we also provide them with the info and resources they need to process it mentally and emotionally. It’s traumatic and life changing.
