A mighty fine selection of photos coming up featuring HMS Sutherland and HNLMS Friesland taken yesterday afternoon as a very gusty easterly wind blew across Plymouth Sound. Starting off with HMS Sutherland as she heads into the easterly as she passed just off Penlee Point.

And the last ship out this morning of course is HMS Cattistock. The question I ask myself now is that will I either be seeing a Carrier tomorrow morning or will it just be the rain 🌧️ We shall wait and see! And I hope you all like the photos.

A mix of different weather conditions and colours this morning as you can see with these photos of HMS Mersey. We have before sunrise, after sunrise, lingering mist over Plymouth and then a bronze colour as Rain arrived and finally the Sun peaked over the cloud.

And the first ship to leave Anchor this morning, FGS Magdeburg. As she passed penlee a few sunrays appeared as that rain cloud had arrived over Wembury and began to block the Sun.

As I arrived a few ships were already at Anchor, HMS Mersey seen at Anchor 14 in Cawsand Bay with SD Oban and HMS St Albans at Anchor in Plymouth Sound as a fleeting shot of Sunshine lighted hee up. And that's all for yesterday evening done, onto this morning next!

I certainly wasn't sure if I'd manage to see HMS Queen Elizabeth as I'd only make it back to Cawsand at 5:15. But after a 10 minute sprint out to Penlee arriving at 5:35 the mighty sight of HMS Queen Elizabeth turning off Penlee Point after picking up her Sea Rib.
