So, as per the lawsuit hearing, USCIS "expects" to issue 180k EB GCs by end of this FY. That is still a wastage of 80K+ GCs. Which means they will process 110k in the last quarter. Doubtful. But saying "We earlier issued 140k, now we are issuing 180k" is not an excuse. #GCWastage

EB green card applicants have been asking USCIS to accept medical exam evidence after it issues green cards. This month, it did this exact thing... but only for Afghan SIVs. Happy for the SIVs, but why not use this to save some of the 100-150K EBs? fam.state.gov/FAM/09FAM/09FA…

Last week, USCIS published 2 tables showing it approved just 29K EB green cards. Based on the earlier quarterly reports, this would mean it had approved just 74K this year (of ~251K available). BUT in 1 of those 2 tables, it also says it approved 102K EB green cards year-to-date

It also means that as of July 1, Biden's team hadn't increased the rate of EB green card approvals AT ALL from Trump's final quarter in office. No quarter of 2020 has equaled the record quarter (since FY 2013) of FY 2020, Quarter 4, which saw 48,797 approvals.

As of July 1, USCIS was poised to waste 146K green card numbers. Even if it doubles its approval rate from Q3 in Quarter 4, there would be waste of 117K. It's a pretty much hopeless situation unless USCIS takes decisive action to mass issue green cards before Sept. 30
