The 4 points in one PIP component rule is a calculated tactic to reduce mental health and neurodivergent claimants. I see so many with high needs who don’t hit 4 in one area—so they get nothing. This must be challenged under the Equality Act, and it absolutely will be.

Nearly 1 in 5 people on Universal Credit & disability benefits relied on foodbanks last month. Hunger & hardship are at crisis levels. Further cuts to welfare & disability benefits will be disastrous. I’ll always vote against austerity & push for wealth taxes on the super-rich.

Dear Policy Exchange, PIP is not an out-of-work benefit. So why are you trying to score political points by insisting young people on #PIP must work, volunteer or go into training? PIP enables disabled people to do these things. Cutting it will do the opposite. Thanks Dr Watts
