Does anybody care about Conflict of Laws in the BE? Sure, they don’t use COL in bar outlines for they appear in more general topics. But they appear most of the time and nobody notices. Last year alone, around to 10-15% had COL dimensions. Look for the foreign element always.
If a labor problem calls for the application of a foreign law that is obviously against the interest of a Filipino working abroad, disregard the foreign law for public policy reasons. Apply PH law always citing constitutional and statutory protections for labor as basis.
