💯 Love this post on “info finance”. Prediction markets are an early special case of info finance - the use of markets to create distillations of more expensive mechanisms (eg predictions of voting outcomes). Multiple generalizations. At scale a possible revenue stream for AIs.

Despite what the data recovery industry says, it is impossible to recover anything when you run the dd command on the Linux or Unix box. This will wipe out everything permanently on /dev/sdc dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdc bs=1M

45 years ago today TCP/IP protocol was born. Happy cake day TCP/IP. As a sysadmin I own my career to TCP/IP+Unix+Linux :) So much changed (at least security wise) since cs.princeton.edu/courses/archiv… paper. I strongly recommend reading TCP/IP Illustrated goo.gl/eA6wbc
