ALL of this; the earth, sun, galaxies, universe the seven heavens The Kursi and The Mighty Arsh of Allah are but a creation of Allah And Allah is Greater than ALL of this… The greatness of Allah is beyond the comprehension of our limited minds. SUBHANALLAH!

Rasul(saw) said: “The 7 Heavens compared to the Kursee is like a ring which is thrown into a desert. And such is the magnitude of the Throne of Allah compared with the Kursee.” Related by Ibn Abee Shaybah in Kitaabul-‘Arsh (1/114) and al-Bayhaqee in as-Asmaa was-Sifaat (p.290)

From Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah (ra) from the Prophet (saw), who said: ‘I have been given permission to speak about one of the angels of Allah who carry the Throne. The distance between his ear-lobes and his shoulders is equivalent to a seven-hundred-year journey.’” [Abu Dawood].

Before we get to the question of how big is The Arsh, let us make mention of the angels that carry this Mighty Throne. There are 4 angels that carry the Arsh of Allah.

Above the Kursi comes the greatest creation of Allah, His Arsh (Throne) the size of which can only be comprehended by Allah. This Arsh is like a dome stretching over the entire universe; It is also the ceiling of Paradise; indeed it is the highest of all created things.

Above the seventh heaven is the Kursi (footstool) of Allah. How great is the Kursi? Our Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “The seven Heavens compared to the Kursee (the footstool) is like a ring which is thrown into a desert” ~ibn Shaybah Qur’an 2:255

The sixth heaven compared to the seventh, is like a small ring thrown into a desert. [The distance between each heaven is five hundred years. ALL of this ‘space’ from top to bottom is full with Angels who are engaged in the worship of Allah.

The third heaven compared to the fourth, is like a small ring thrown into a desert. The fourth heaven compared to the fifth, is like a small ring thrown into a desert. The fifth heaven compared to the sixth, is like a small ring thrown into a desert.

More over the vastness of the desert over the ring is unimaginable. So how big is the 2nd heaven? It boggles the mind. Then another question arises; how big is the 3rd heaven compared to the 2nd? The 2nd heaven in comparison to the 3rd, is like a small ring thrown into a desert.

The example of the lowest heaven (our universe) compared to the second heaven, is like a ring in a vast desert. Imaging taking of your ring from your finger and throwing it into a vast desert. Within a few moments the ring has disappeared.

As we pass into the 2nd heaven, our universe becomes dwarfed. A question arises; As big as this first heaven (the universe) is, how big is the one above it, the second heaven? How big is it in comparison?
