@AppleSwan_ Not only that, there's practically no other site that can substitute what Ao3 give to ppl. If a business entity stops there's likely 3 other places you can go to for similar service. If Ao3 stops there no where else to go. 😭 Fanfiction and Wattpad are sub-par substitutes.

I actually think its kinda hilarious that Ao3 is ddos'd if only for the fact that typically a ddos attack on a company or corporation will lose said business entity profit and thus stunt its growth and performance ... But Ao3 is a non profit with a huge user base that isnt

Don’t worry about how people act. That’s on them not you. Always choose kindness, that’s under your control. Spread it far and wide, whichever way you can, even if it means giving a smile or a word of encouragement. Never underestimate how contagious being kind can be.

I stared at my laptop screen, tears rolling down my cheeks as the blank white screen stared back at me, expressionless. "ao3 please, return." I whispered to the screen.

@AO3_Status The best thing anyone can do right now - hard as it is - is NOT trying to access the site. Because their legit requests are also overwhelming the site, alongside the DDOS ones. (And yes, I DO know how hard it is NOT to access the site when you want to read fic!)
