For the 2021 PGP intake, we will randomly select people from the remaining pool of Interest to Sponsor forms received in 2020 and then send invitations to apply to potential sponsors.

We will accept a record number of applications for the 2021 Parents and Grandparents (PGP) program and give those who submitted an Interest to Sponsor form in 2020 another chance to be selected to apply: canada.ca/en/immigration… (Thread ⬇️)

@summer52510513 @CitImmCanada I’m disappointed today, I worked hard during last years, the income required is less than what I pay in taxes directly from my income and we work hard, we need to trust in lucky for the reunification of our family. Crazy stuff...

@CitImmCanada Lottery system has to be changed . I am paying so high taxes since many years and now I have heard a friend of mine has applied first time got selected but her income is not sufficient. And wasting invitations.Completely unfair for potential sponsors..

@CitImmCanada This lottery system is so unfair and needs to be replaced !!! There should be a criteria that put in the place to better gauge the qualifications of the sponsors, either by tax payments or whatever scoring system that government decides on.

@CitImmCanada This process is horrible and defective. A lot of people who are selected do not meet the income requirements and are now discussing amending previous tax returns to inflate their income, while honest people who meet the income requirements are never lucky enough.

@CitImmCanada Why you guys always said it's a fairy way for the Parents and Grandparents program, I did not see any justice in it. So upset to IRCC. Please make improvements like verify 3 years' income before submitting the interesting form.

@CitImmCanada Congrats!!! how do we know whether there were actual 10K invitations sent out? Some people have just tried as hit-or-miss by applying although not qualifying the criteria, that means they have blocked a genuine prospective applicant's chance. Very hazy system.

@CitImmCanada What if someone failed to submit documents or someone's application got rejected or for some reason they withdraw application. Do you send more invitation to complete 10,000 applications?
