After Wang's @2019_saa presentation I'm even more hopeful about the benefits of sharing personal patient-data with patients. They comply more in the assessment process wich provides researchers with more reliable and valid data which, in turn, we can use to help them. #saa2019

Bringmann: there is a needless dichotomy between network and latent variable models. Latent models do not have to be interpreted causally, can also just be a useful measurement model #SAA2019

Soon-to-be retirees’ partners report more rumination about retirement on days when retirees disclose more, and this effect is attenuated if partners engage in expressive writing activities. #SAA2019

Increases in companionship ratings associated with ⬆️ positive affect ⬇️ negative affect AND - Decreases in smoking when only one partner smokes, but *increases* in smoking when both partners smoke. #mHealth #SAA2019

Really interesting microrandomized trial to differentiate between- from within-person effects of goal-setting on sugar-sweetened beverage consumption. WP effects very small, BP larger with important interaction effect (attenuation for those who set goals before MRT). #SAA2019

Today's @2019_saa was great! Bringmann explained how latent and network model are not incompatible, how density parameters are very promising, and suggested to focus on answering network approach driven hypotheses using non-stationary models. Great #saa2019 kickoff.

Within-person, social exclusion seems to hurt worse than inclusion helps, with respect to affect. Though these relations differences between people. #SAA2019
