It has been 18 years since I started posting on the web. In that whole time I have not mentioned Iran or Israel. In retrospect, in light of my focus on the intersection of politics and economics I find that rather amazing. But here we are, where four men are pulling the strings of the world. Khamenei, Netanyahu, Putin, and Trump. I don't think the real issue is whether Iran has a bomb or not, it appears that most countries have the bomb these days, and say it is a defensive factor. Any country other than the U.S. would never think about a preemptive strike as the counterattack would be total annihilation. Of course, the Evangelicals seem to think the end times are here. So, the real issue is striving to have world leaders that believe in peace. Getting back to Israel and Iran, it seems to me a two state solution has been and is the only answer. Finding leaders who believe in that direction is an imperative. Getting those kinds of leaders into the mix is the battle that the people of the world are engaged.
