Demo of our new ML based monocular ( no LiDAR required ) 3d capture mode in @3dScannerApp_ . It's pretty inaccurate / rough compared to LiDAR, and only works indoors, but it's free. Available in version 2.0.17 for iPhone 13/14 devices.

We tried taping the iPhone 12 to a cheap drone to do some LIDAR scanning... It didn't work out so well.

LIDAR 3d scanning on the iPhone 12 Pro is pretty fun! Doing some tests with our 3d Scanner App... High Res mode + Object masking is pretty useful to quickly measure and preview stuff in AR. All processing on device, no cloud or signups.. and it's free! apps.apple.com/us/app/id14199…
