Chantal Saldanha visits ACS STEM to discuss Cybersecurity at General Dynamics
Party ended with dancing, music, and a bus ride sing-a-long
Last evening in Panama, group shot with our tour guide Chris.
Followed by a final hike into a rainforest.
Boat ride on Gutun Lake where students got to see alligators and monkeys.
Dropped by a few churches and celebrated mass in Spanish this evening
Visited the old part of town tonight
Then some arts and crafts
Awesome work!
Students learn a lesson on environmental stewardship
Then it was off to the Panama Canal to watch a ship go through and a wonderful IMAX film explaining all aspects of the project
Next on our itinerary was the Biomuseum
Busy Day 8 began with a visit to the Sloth Sanctuary

Looking forward to our STEAM conference to be held on Feb 20th! It will be an excellent learning experience for our secondary students. Experts will be running hands-on workshops and seminars to help students envision what 2050 will look like. @bhncdsb @ACSSTEM @assumptionlion

Ron Merk from Stelco presented today on the engineering of steel and some of the environmental initiatives that Stelco have started. Lots of employment opportunities in the STEM fields.
