The salary for postdoctoral scientists is £36k. Science is global - if the UK is going to be 'the best country for science in the world', we need to be able to recruit the best scientists. Now, we might not be able to - only British scientists can apply.

My condolences to @slimanjbensmaia's family, friends, & colleagues. His plenary at the "Festival of Touch" (@ResearchINTouch & @IASATorg) had such energy & enthusiasm - & he kept up that enthusiasm through every presentation - incredibly encouraging & inspiring to the ECRs there
