No need to be embarrassed. This is a great use case that works for a lot of people.
For those who haven’t tried it, no special prompting necessary. Just chat. Pi and Claude are 2 other free apps that are great for this

With the rate of development of these AI models, now is a good time to revisit that prompt you tried last year.

Remember, there are multiple levels to AI use as a teacher.

AI Literacy 101:
The first response pulled from pre-loaded training data (and told you as much).
The second one searched the web for info (indicated by the text, “Searched 3 sites”).
It’s not a conspiracy theory, just edit your prompt to clarify your request. I had no issues:

Some of these AI ads during the Olympics have me shaking my head 🤦♂️
“Hey Gemini, write a letter from my daughter to her hero about how much she inspires her.”
No, let your kid do that.
One of the key lessons from @The74’s piece on the major struggles facing LAUSD’s ambitious “Ed” chatbot, summed up nicely by the CEO of @ISTEofficial:
At this point, your AI efforts should be focused on exploration and skill-building, not trying to find the perfect tool.

Engagement increases when students feel connected to the content they are working with. Summer is a great time to use generative AI tools to help make your content more:
📍🌎 Localized
🧕🏽🙋🏾♂️ Culturally relevant
⛹️♂️🎮 Tailored to student interests
📰 💬 Integrated w/ current events

For a while now, I haven’t been able to see the name “Al” (A-L) without subconsciously assuming it’s “AI” (A-I).
This story about NBC rolling out AI Al Michaels for the Olympics brings me much joy and confusion.
“What are some opportunities to incorporate various perspectives into this lesson/unit?”
