AIMS is still hosting our families for National African American Parent Involvement Day. Dr. Johnson opened as our keynote speaker, Ms. T led a Restorative Circle with our parents as an example of our work, and now halfway through our day serving lunch to our families.

Ms. Allen’s 7th graders in a race to match science vocabulary and the correct definition by dragging them together on the smart board.

At 3:30 today Assistant Principal Gibbs said, “Lead by example.” He was outside shoveling, pushing cars, and directing traffic in some nasty weather till nearly 10pm, ensuring busses and staff could exit the parking lot safely. Lead by example you did!

SPPS offers its sincerest apologies to those who were impacted by delayed buses. We know it was a concern & hardship for those whose children arrived home well after the school day ended. We are immensely thankful for the staff that remained @ the schools to care for our Ss.

No school tomorrow! So many thanks to give out. At the top of that list by far is the bus drivers who spent an entire second shift on the road ensuring students made it home safely on very treacherous roads! To the 10s of thousands of kids including ours we thank you!
