Students from universities in Australia are joining their American peers in protests for Palestine. Like demonstrators on campuses in the US, the students say they want to escalate the campaign for institutions to cut ties with Israel ⤵️
@AJEnglish @Abramjee Why do they just want to cut ties with Israel. Why not all other (apparent) evil in the world?
The ongoing conflict in Gaza has been a source of turmoil and suffering for the people in the region for far too long. The violence and destruction that has plagued the area must come to an end, and it is clear that the final solution to stopping the war in Gaza lies in halting the involvement of America and taking action on an international level. The United States has long been a key player in the conflict in Gaza, providing military aid and support to Israel, which has only served to escalate the violence and prolong the suffering of the Palestinian people. By ending American involvement in the region, we can begin to de-escalate the tensions and work towards a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Furthermore, it is essential that the international community come together to address the root causes of the conflict in Gaza and work towards a comprehensive peace agreement that addresses the needs and concerns of both Palestinians and Israelis. This will require a concerted effort from all nations to hold both parties accountable for their actions and to facilitate dialogue and negotiations that can lead to a lasting and sustainable peace in the region.
@AJEnglish @RHazeH I was at one on the weekend in Australia. It was amazing - peaceful, loving, live music, singing and mourning for the tens of thousands murdered by Israel - free free free Palestine.
