Attached is celebrated Geriatrician Dr. Ted Rosenberg's letter of resignation to UBC Medical School. After 30 years of distinguished teaching, he no longer feels safe in the UBC environment. "I checked the recommended links to your and the President’s statements on respect and compassion, as well as the EDI site. Two words are conspicuously absent from all these documents: 1. Jew(ish) and 2. Antisemitism. Moreover, I searched the UBC DEI/REDI site for the words ‘antisemitism” and did not find this word, amongst the multitude of other “anti’s” that appeared." @UBC #Antisemitism
@DrJacobsRad That is just horrible. We already have a dire shortage of geriatricians in Canada. He is much needed.
@AMCKunneke @DrJacobsRad Did he resign as a doctor or simply a lecturer? He helped my dad … this hits very close to home …
@AMCKunneke @DrJacobsRad He can still practice. But BC is not the scale of Ontario. There is a female Palestinian writer who grew up in BC and was educated in a conservative Muslim school who wrote about it. Forgot name
