Daniel Penny, the Marine veteran who placed New York City subway passenger Jordan Neely in a fatal chokehold, was freed pending trial Friday on a manslaughter charge that could send him to prison for 15 years. AP’s Jake Offenhartz explains more. bit.ly/41vcgeD
@AP I do not think his intent was to kill him, and that has to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, and that will be difficult, and get everything reduced in court greatly. He will get maybe a year tops if that. That is the actual reality of this.
@AP The entire subway was thankful he was there. He is a hero
@AP Notice how they only show Jordan Neely’s middle school graduation pic? What about the 44 mugshots for kidnapping a minor, vicious assault of two elderly people, etc. Yes, he deserved to be dropped. He was attacking people on the train. Don’t wanna die? Act right.
@AP Funny that the same folks saying he's a hero are saying the cop who killed Babbitt was wrong. They can't even keep their own nonsense straight lol just contradictions everywhere
@AP This is ridiculous. This is pure political persecution.
@AP Daniel Penny deserves a Ticker Tape parade up Broadway.
@AP Facts 1. A violent man endangering people in a public space 2. A bystander prevent the violent man to cause further threat by necessary force 3. The violent man dies in the process 4. The bystander abidingly followed judicial process caused by his action Who is the bad guy again?
@AP If you’re going put someone in a choke hold you got to have a plan at least , what did he expect was going to happen
@AP Can’t we just give him a free pass to Rikers while he waits?
@AP If it had been a white man instead of Jordan Neely, would he have been choked to death?
@AP Absolute nonsense....self defense... guy is a hero
@AP Awesome , he subdued the guy while he was threatening to kill everyone. He deserves a metal not this.
@AP HORSESH!T !!! These these woke turds think we should just "be ok" with crazed drug-addicted felons being violent on trains... and OF COURSE the left media made it all about race, not the guys mile long record or being wanted for punching a 67 yo woman in the FACE.
@AP I literally don't care that he's a Marine veteran. Don't try and paint him as a hero. He took someone's life. This is the equivalent of pulling out Jordan Neely's criminal record as reason he should have been murdered.
@AP Idk man how do you say it’s self defense, for attacking a man that’s yelling? Is yelling a crime or something? Is it worth killing someone’s that’s yelling? He didn’t even attack anyone apparently. This whole thing is weird.
@AP People are dying because of resisting arrest, attacking people in public… 🤔🤔🤔
@AP A mentally ill man tried to hit me with his walking stick in my stomach I 2018 . Used to do gymnastics so I was able to jump backwards. Was just trying to get to work. Was any blood work done on Neely? Is kidnapping a 7 year old a felony??
@AP Stay out of it. Don't get involved. That's what they pay the cops for. They can get charged. At least they don't have to pay for a lawyer.
@AP Much like the case of "Jake the bar owner kills a protester in Omaha" the killer will kill himself after the courts go lite on the judgement. It's another tragedy. A guy who they called "The good guy" has anger issues and kills. #NoVigilantes
@AP Just adding to the shithole status of New York!
@AP What was the TOX report? Show the whole video, why did this happen?
@AP In the next episode of, When playing hero goes wrong...!
