I think aside from the Bible this is probably the book I have read the most times. I find myself pretty every year (sometimes multiple times) going back to it for wisdom and conviction. What a gift it is to The Church.

I think a lot of people burnout following Jesus because we do not follow Jesus' example of moving at a pace that allows a lot of grace. Burnout is not a badge of honor & hustling doesn't make us more holy. Resting in Him is the key for our souls to flourish, so slow down.

Patience with others becomes more natural when we have a shift in our perspective. One of the best ways to love your neighbor and shift your perspective is to try and understand them. The more we learn to empathize, the more we learn to love, because love is patient and kind.

Most of us need an encounter with Jesus more than we need an answer from Jesus. We don’t need to know the answer to every question to trust and follow Jesus, honestly even if we did have every answer we likely would find another excuse to not follow. What we do need is His grace.
