In Motion Whispering Vessel by Adi Toch has been acquired for Birmingham’s collection. When rotated it makes a sound from the loose pieces of quartz inside it. It was donated to the museum by the @ContempArtSoc through their Omega Fund. birminghammuseums.org.uk/stories/new-ac…

Spent a splendid afternoon at @GoldsmithsCo Fair at the magnificent Goldsmiths’ Hall. There is so much creativity & mastery to see here - plus a great discussion with @AT_Metalsmith and @abostrom2 about Adi’s practice and response to restitution.

A year ago, the Gilbert Trust, whose collection is on display at the @V_and_A, restituted to Turkey an ancient gold ewer - and commissioned @AT_Metalsmith to create an artwork to keep the object and its story present in the Gilbert galleries in London. bit.ly/3r2DJEC
