Among second baseman since July 1st, Lenyn Sosa ranks:
3rd in WAR
2nd in Slug, OPS, RBI, WRC+, all only behind Altuve
T-1st in HR's with Altuve
It's time he gets the respect he deserves from White Sox fans. He's been the most consistent young hitter on the team.
William Bergolla just hit a ball 111 mph. That's harder than Andrew Benintendi has ever hit a ball in his career for reference. This is quite the development for a guy thought to have 20 grade power. Getz said the 20 year old has been the talk of camp, easy to see why
While Grant Taylor only threw 16 innings this season, he had the 2nd lowest xFIP among all low A pitchers with at least as many innings. His stuff is just as gaudy as the numbers he generated, as he has elite extension, premium velo, and 5 potential great pitches (FB CT SL CU CH)

Some takeaways from looking at the LD% and SwStr% of White Sox hitters in low A:
- Sam Antonacci was a major outlier, insane barrel control
- Jeral Perez, part of the Fedde return, did nicely
- Ronny Hernandez has a great feel to hit for a catcher
- Rikuu Nishida puts bat on ball
Looking at the LD% and SwStr% of White Sox hitters in high A, its clear the team had great bat to ball skills. Gonzalez exceled at both metrics. Zavala had much improved bat to ball skills. William Bergolla, the return for Tanner Banks, was among the best regarding barrel control
Some takeaways from looking at the LD% and SwStr% of White Sox hitters in AA this season:
- Jacob Gonzalez had solid barrel control, despite the rough slash line
- Mario Camilletti has tremendous barrel control
- Michael Turner has very little swing and miss for a catcher
Looking at the LD% and SwStr% of White Sox hitters in AAA this season, Miguel Vargas stands out the most, as he had the best combination of bat to ball skills and a knack for the sweet spot.
I would've liked to see Adisyn Coffey get protected by the Sox. He was very strong at generating whiffs and strikeouts, while also limiting the long ball and keeping the BB% in check this past season in AAA. This made him standout among pitchers at or below league average age.

A little surprised the Sox didn't protect lefty reliever Trey McGough after getting him back for Eloy Jiménez at the deadline. He was among the best pitchers in AAA this past season, as he exceled at generating strikeouts, while limiting batting average, walks, and home runs.

Nicholas Padilla could be a sneaky good pickup for the Phillies. In AAA this year, he was an outlier with his combo of swinging strike rate and ground ball %. As a White Sox fan, I always liked his stuff, specifically his nasty sweeper which averaged about 17in of HB and -6IVB

Looking at the relationship of arm angle and release height, 2 current White Sox pitchers stand out:
Gus Varland - Completely unrivaled with his combo of high arm angle and low release
Jonathan Cannon - Few others are able to get such a high release from such a low arm angle
Ground ball % and whiff rate for White Sox pitching prospects in AAA. Adyson Coffey stands out in a big way with a lot of swing and miss, as well Berroa, Burke, and Nastrini, also generating a lot of whiff. Bush oddly increased his GB% a ton, and Ellard is solid at both.
Ground ball % and whiff rate for White Sox pitching prospects in AA. Schultz, Adams, and Adler all generated a great deal of ground balls, and Carela elicited many swings and misses. Drew Thorpe was solid in both regards.
Ground ball % and whiff rate for White Sox pitching prospects in high A. Zach Franklin is a super underrated prospect in the system, as his unique riding fastball allows him to generate a great amount of whiffs, even during his time up at AA
