Thanks to the new Assembly WB in @FreeCADNews , the development of the Phoenix's retractable landing gear is going smoothly, allowing us to iterate accurately & quickly. In fact, we ran a 'v0.1' gear on the OML and did a first CFD simulation earlier today! FreeCAD rocks!

Since we haven't posted anything of much substance lately, how about an early render of the Phoenix's shape? She has evolved greatly since; this took us a few hours with @FreeCADNews , then was put through the paces in the OpenFOAM environment!
Much work on the Phoenix this weekend. Found some more efficiency gains that will also make other areas of the aircraft easier to manufacture, assemble and maintain. It is a lot of work, work that now has us seeing double 😉!!
